    Wireless Engineer

    Optomi, in partnership with a leader within the telecommunications industry, is seeking an experienced Wireless Engineer for their Greenwood Villiage, CO location This Wireless Engineer will be responsible for testing network home deployments, which include Wi-Fi access points, WLAN controller, WAG, AAA servers, and advanced home routers. Responsible for maintaining test plans, and documentation, and supporting operation teams. Contributes to the planning, configuration, and testing of the Wi-Fi systems as directed.

    Experience of the right candidate:

    • Familiar with standards and Wi-Fi alliance developments.
    • Strong knowledge in Installation, Configuration, and provisioning of multi-vendor Access Points within centralized / Autonomous Environment.
    • Experience in developing and operating controlled test environments, this includes Spirent Landslide, Octoscope, Chariot, and Traffic generators.
    • Strong knowledge in deriving test objectives/requirements, developing procedures based on the test requirements, executing test procedures, and compiling test data.
    • Good knowledge of a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be Wireless Networking Standards, TCP/IP, VLANs and routing protocols.
    • Proficient understanding of networking terminology and components (e.g., DHCP, IP Routing).
    • Proficient in using JIRA for work management and reporting.

    Responsibilities of the right candidate:

    • Work with automation teams and review test scripts to perform functionality testing.
    • Write and execute sanity & regression suites to validate Wi-Fi product features and functionalities.
    • Responsible for the development of test strategies and the design of quality assurance practices.
    • Develop, change, and execute test plans, test procedures, and test scenarios.
    • Responsible for validating the customer experience on both IOS and Android devices across several models of advanced home routers.
    • Analyze field issues and reproduce the issues in lab environments.
    • Responsible for validating performance testing across different network elements.
    • Perform testing with multiple OEM vendors (Apple, Samsung, Google, etc.).
