Job description
Organizational Overview
The Emerald Necklace Conservancy is a private, non-profit stewardship organization established in 1997 with the primary mission of restoring, improving, and protecting the historic Emerald Necklace park system in Boston and Brookline. As a dedicated guardian of landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted's late 19th-century vision, the Conservancy serves as the critical link between public agencies and the private sector, ensuring that these 1,100 acres of green space thrive for modern urban residents. The Conservancy is dedicated to stewarding the 1,100-acre linear Emerald Necklace park system in Boston and Brookline connecting over 15 diverse neighborhoods. Our vision: A thriving Emerald Necklace where people and parks care for each other, made possible through thoughtful parks care, people-driven programming and inclusive policy work.
