    What do in this position? Identification & elimination of production barriers for various levels of automation including: presses, welders, conveyors, automated assembly, and roboticsPut in place controls systems like process interlocks, new HMI's for equipment, QR code scanners, scale systems, with SQL and Schneider Electric MES data connections.


    Update, and continuously improve existing controls systems including:
    ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interfaces, and pneumatic systems.

    Design and develop new machine controls including robotic, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and vision systemsCoordinate with production and maintenance on existing machine control modifications or installationsCreate, maintain, and keep current all documentation:

    electrical and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC programs, operator display, operator interface, and robot programsImplement and maintain data collection system for shop floor production equipmentCybersecurity monitoring and cyber threat hardening.

    Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related 4 year degreeStrong PLC programming experience with Schneider Electric PLCs and HMIs (Modicon, Magelis)Strong Machine vision skills with Cognex and KeyenceDenso Robotic programming experienceExperience with pneumatic motion controls and VFDsMicrosoft Visual Studio and MIS experienceStratus Server management via Remote DesktopEnterprise networking experienceSQL programming and query skillsProficiency in Safety Engineering with exposure to Electrical SafetyProcess interlocking and Bar/QR Code scanning experienceRequired Skills and CompetenciesAbility to perform root cause analysis and develop action plans to strategically eliminate barriersAbility to identify waste and drive it out of complex processesAbility to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelinesAbility to read, update, and interpret blueprints and schematicsAbility to manage projects, schedule multiple priorities, and meet deadlinesEffective communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teamsSelf-motivated and driven individual desiring to make an immediate impactStrong organizational skillsFamiliarity with powder metallurgy, robotic loading and unloading systems is a strong plusWho will you report to?
