    Job Title: CLOUD ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT
    Duration: 6+ months

    Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid 2days a week Onsite)

    Job Description:

    Client is seeking a Cloud Enterprise Architect (Cloud EA) for the Enterprise Architecture division of Information Technology (IT). Responsibilities include assisting with the development of Client Technology Standards, coordinating with different stakeholders to develop Technology Roadmaps, developing an enterprise Cloud Strategy, reviewing requests for new technology, and functioning as a subject matter expert (SME) for RFPs and major projects.

    Job Purpose:

    1. Identify, develop, implement, and support strategic technology planning and decision processes across the Commission to support strategic priorities, alignment and efficiency through technology roadmaps, standards, and project guidance, while reducing risks.
    2. Collaborate with business, solution, and technical architects across the Commission to facilitate technology transformation, optimization, planning and design activities; ensuring that the technology strategy and business direction are aligned and optimized while risks are mitigated. Mentor and educate colleagues across CLIENT about new technologies, best practices, and standards that will increase employee productivity.
    3. The focus of this role is on Cloud Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

    Primary Functions:

    1. Analyze current systems, integrations, and business requirements for technology needs.
    2. Drive innovation and continuous improvement around technology.
    3. Develop and create current state and future state models on systems, processes, and integrations, by working with business and technical architects to define future state capabilities.
    4. Be a point of reference and a resource on existing capabilities, systems, processes, and integrations.
    5. Mentor, teach, coach, and instruct IT team members and team leaders on pertinent IT topics.
    6. Collaborate with business representatives, application support teams, digital security, Operational Technology (OT), Technology Governance (Legal), and infrastructure engineers/admins to develop technology roadmaps and standards for CLIENT; identify risks and benefits; help develop technology plans, including a plan for use of hybrid cloud and advanced technologies at CLIENT (such as Generative AI, virtual assistants, analytics, automation, etc.).
    7. Review procurement requests involving technology to ensure that new technology purchases align with CLIENT s technology standards.
    8. Create architectural diagrams and collaborate with business and technical architects to get agreement on new architectures.
    9. Research and recommend best practices and methods to consolidate applications/software at CLIENT that are redundant or have similar functionality for efficiency and cost-savings.
    10. Assist with project planning to ensure that project technologies align with CLIENT s standards and best practices.
    11. Coordinate with other utilities to share information and learn about new technologies and trends.
    12. Collaborate closely with Emerging Technology to learn about new technologies being researched at CLIENT and to promote Commission-wide data analytics; provide guidance on CLIENT technology standards.
    13. Support CLIENT s digital transformation journey, including participation in transformative projects around data analytics and cloud migration.
    14. Keep abreast of new technologies and trends through research and determine where they align with CLIENT s Strategic Plan and initiatives, including innovation & growth.
    15. Provide regular communications regarding findings, new technologies and trends to IT and CLIENT business units; hold educational Lunch N Learns.
    16. In collaboration with IT and business areas, update and provide support for CLIENT s enterprise architecture management tool (LeanIX) with actionable information on CLIENT systems, including end-of-life, dependencies, etc.
    17. Ensure alignment of CLIENT s technologies with the TOGAF architecture framework.
    18. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Technical Requirements:

    Working knowledge of all, but not limited to the following:

    1. Systems architecture and design.
    2. Standards and governance processes.
    3. Technology presentations on emerging trends and adoption of new technology.
    4. Technology standards.
    5. Emerging technology.
    6. IT Systems, applications, integrations, and standards.
    7. IT Architecture (On Prem and Cloud).

    Familiarity with all, but not limited to the following:

    1. Application business capabilities.
    2. Roadmaps and presentations for evolving systems architectures.
    3. Documentation on current system architectures.
    4. Documentation on future state architecture.
    5. Cybersecurity practices.
    6. Business ecosystems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
    7. Software Applications (i.e., CC&B, AutoCAD, Visio, Microsoft Project, Oracle, SQL Server and Cloud Databases, Integration Technologies [Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Representational State Transfer (REST), etc.]).
    8. Enterprise Architecture standards (TOGAF, Zachman)
    9. Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws.
    10. Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
    11. Excellent organizational skills.
    12. Prioritize and work independently.
    13. Problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
    14. Understand and apply governmental accounting practices in maintenance of financial records.
    15. Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
    16. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and standard office equipment (computer, telephone, etc.)

    Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:

    1. Bachelor s degree in computer science, Technology and Management, Information Technology, or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
    2. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology or Computer Sciences to include:
    3. Five (5) years of experience working with systems integration, design, and architecture.
    4. Three (3) years of experience working as a technical lead on major projects.
    5. Five (5) years of experience working on implementation and support projects for a variety of major systems.

    Training or commitment (preferred):

    1. Enterprise Architecture Training.
    2. Cloud Practitioner/Architect certification(s).
    3. Project Management.
    4. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving.
    5. Organizational Change Management.
