Summary

You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic in the MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

• You will perform, at the journey level, disassembly, maintenance and repair, and assemble fixed and rotary wing aircraft systems, airframes, components, and assemblies.
• You will perform a variety of complex and advanced metal repair, fabrication, plan, layout and structural disassembly/assembly of aircraft and aircraft components.
• You will perform a variety of repair, fabrication, modification, removal, and installation of composite and/or plastic items, parts, assemblies, and structures.
• You will correct problems by removing, cleaning, reinstalling or replacing defective parts.
