We are looking for a highly skilled

Software Engineer

who will be responsible for working on our core banking platform. As a Software Engineer you'll write code for our platform to ensure efficiency of our banking solution.
What you'll be doing

Create, maintain, audit and improve Tuum's systems to meet particular needs, often as advised by a system analyst or implementation manager
Test our platform and specific modules to diagnose and resolve system faults
Produce high quality, clean and reliable coding for modifications and enhancements of the core banking module
Create innovative solutions to meet Tuum's technical needs
Drive continuous improvement and make recommendations for future developments
Analyse and translate business requirements into code
Design, develop and maintain concise and detailed technical and functional solution documents for development
Write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any programmers involved in the project
Research, design and write new system functionalities or modifications
Manage and monitor the applications and their performance
Be a subject matter expert to team members and business users
Our expectations

2+ years of software engineering or software development experience (5+ years for senior position)
Ability to develop in Java (Spring) / Javascript (React)
Excellent knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL
Understanding of AWS Cloud based solutions would be a bonus
Knows and follows good practices when coding
Passionate about code architecture, knowing which architectures to apply in different situations and why
Strong background in agile software development
Strong communication skills and problem solving skills
