- Participate in the development of an internship plan that meets the learning needs of the intern and satisfies the requirements of ISBE and the intern's university program.
- Participate in building problem-solving teams to provide consultation for educationally at-risk students, assist with the problem-solving process, and support data-based decision-making regarding interventions and monitoring of student progress in response to interventions.
- Complete observations and/or screenings as appropriate to support the development of interventions.
- Plan and/or implement interventions for educationally at-risk students that may include class-wide, small-group, or individual support to address academic skills, executive functioning skills, metacognitive skills, social/emotional skills, etc.
- Provide consultation and support to district personnel regarding systems-level academic and social-emotional benchmarking/screening and progress monitoring practices to support efficient and effective delivery of support to educationally at-risk students.
- Assist with the review of existing data, development of assessment questions, and assessment plan for students who have or are suspected of having a disability.
- Complete psychoeducational assessments for children who have or are suspected of having a disability to assist in determining educational needs and eligibility for special education services.
- Complete appropriately thorough and timely professional records and reports to document evaluation results and recommendations.
- Participate in Eligibility and Individual Education Planning meetings to interpret assessment results and progress monitoring data to assist in determining appropriate interventions/supports and/or eligibility.
- Conduct or assist with in-service training opportunities, as requested/appropriate.
- Attend in-service training to increase knowledge of current methodologies and issues in the field.
- Perform or assume other duties as assigned or approved by the Director of Special Education or School Psychologist Supervisor.
- Follow the policies and procedures of the staff handbook.
- Must have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Dunlap staff and related personnel to contribute to the accomplishment of a shared goal.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with others, create a climate of trust, and address possible conflict to resolve such conflict at the earliest possible stage.

Reports to the School Psychologist Intern Supervisor and will be a District-Wide position traveling to schools within the District.
Position Objective
This position will learn the role and responsibilities of a school psychologist by providing direct and indirect service to Dunlap students and staff under the supervision of a School Psychologist.
Essential Functions:
Working towards a Master's/Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
Other qualifications and competencies:
The performance of the School Psychologist Intern will be evaluated per provisions of the Dunlap CUSD 323 policy as described in the approved Evaluation Plan as well as the University Evaluation Plan and Performance Objectives.
