- AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.
- The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.
- This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.
- AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women's care.
- Work ing knowledge of AdventHealth's programs offered to pregnant patients and families, offering our resources, educating patients and families about programs, assisting with appointments and scheduling for programs such as: Lactation consult, Prenatal Education, Preop appointments, and Childbirth education classes.
- Acts as a liaison between the AdventHealth Obstetrical Services and patients, physician office staff, patient's families and/or significant others by determining the customer's need and satisfaction with services provided. Assists in obtaining needed services. Reports patient, family, and/or significant other concerns to team members and/or Nurse Manager as indicated for resolution. Actively works on issues that can be resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
- Responds to telephone calls and emails and provides requested information to potential customers in the community.
- Compiles patient education material for patient education packets, monitors supply usage and maintains availability of supplies. Supplies physician offices with materials as requested by working with the Physician Liaison.
- Keeps employee files up to date with current copies of competency, certification, and licenses.

- Minimum 2 years RN experience in maternal/newborn/lactation services
- Prior leadership experience as team lead/manager
- Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse

The role you'll contribute:
This RN is a registered professional nurse who is acting as a liaison for the AdventHealth Obstetrical Services. Program development, patient experience, physician relationship development, and quality improvement skills are essential. Acts as an advocate for patients, families, and visitors to ensure the patient experience and expectations are met. The Birth Designer is a Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the Women's Director. Responsible for helping with Perinatal Core Measures reporting to Quality Improvement Council as requested.
Responsible for Program Development for birth experience including "Birth Designer" role and focusing on growing OB volume by connecting with our community and OB Physicians.
This Nurse works directly with Marketing Department and Physician Liaison. Also provides input on collateral and participates in marketing events.Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.Birth Designer is a supervisor to the Lactation Consultant/Childbirth Educator.
The Birth Designer is responsible for organizing, staffing, and supervising the lactation consultant/childbirth educator and will serve as a role model for employees and contributes to the development of the department.
The Birth Designer is accountable for meeting departmental organizational standards. Birth Designer assists with developmental conversations, staffing of the unit, balancing schedule, reviewing budget/spending, and for loaner/rental equipment.The value you'll bring to the team:
