    Chief Technologist Cytology / Cytology Supervisor Pathology Lab
    Scarsdale/White Plains area


    As Chief Technologist in Cytology, you'll lead a high-performing team, oversee complex specimen analysis, and ensure accuracy and compliance in one of the most critical departments in pathology.

    What You'll Be Doing
    Supervise Cytotechnologists, assigning workloads and creating staffing schedules
    Perform and verify classification of cytology slides, escalating abnormal findings to pathologists
    Assist physicians during Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures and collect patient specimens
    Ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health regulations and maintain required documentation
    Oversee recordkeeping, reporting, and quality metrics for the cytology department
    Maintain proficiency with ThinPrep and the Bethesda reporting system
    About You
    Be able to do the job as described
    Bachelor of Science from an accredited Certified Cytology School required
    ASCP certification and NYS Cytotechnologist License required
    Minimum 3 years of experience screening GYN, non-GYN specimens, and FNAs
    Prior supervisory or lead technologist experience in a clinical cytology lab
    ThinPrep Certification and strong familiarity with the Bethesda system required
    FLU Vaccine required no exemptions
