    Default job background
    Description
Divergent is on a mission to democratize the design and manufacture of vehicles.

We want to enable a future where small entrepreneurial teams across the globe will bring increasingly material and energy efficient transportation solutions to market with a fraction of the capital and time.

Divergent has invented a complete manufacturing solution to address system level challenges. The Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) is a complete software hardware solution designed to replace traditional vehicle manufacturing. To make the complex simple, it is a complete modular digital factory for complex structures.

Given a set of digital requirements as input, the machine automatically computationally engineers, additively manufactures, and assembles any complex structure.

The system is able to move seamlessly between manufacturing different vehicle models.

    Purpose of Job:

We need a forward-looking and innovative team member who will help to shape the future of processing 3D printed materials, structures, and components.

Divergent is seeking a motivated individual to help with our testing, validation, and materials development efforts.

Under supervision of the Manager, Materials Testing, the role will work to make simple conclusions new discoveries from the large amounts of materials testing data gathered constantly by the Materials Testing Department.

Compliance with safety and 5S procedures is a must. The individual must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
Process data from tests into reports with plots that clearly represent the key results of the test. Work independently to look for larger-scale trends in all test data gathered – between multiple tests and test programs. Data is consistently gathered from printers and material testing and could be affected by printer conditions, powder used, etc.

Work at the direction of the Materials Testing Manager and Quality Director to analyze data when needed for specific test purposes – e.g.

all of the test results related to one customer program
Interface with the data scientists on the software team for larger-scale data analysis and SPC related activities
Will often include working to put together data from multiple sources and in multiple formats - getting them into your preferred format for analysis
