- Follow the Integrated Pest Management plan for the facility using approved pesticides, beneficial insects, and biocontrol agents.
- Routinely monitor crops for pest pressure.
- Document all pesticide applications.
- Assist in the cleaning and routine maintenance of all application equipment and sprayers.
- Ensure that proper REI notifications are disseminated to the facility and posted where appropriate.
- Communicate with all cultivation staff to ensure the spray and drench applications do not disrupt routine cultivation operations.
- Assist in Soil, Water, and any necessary tissue sampling.
- Ensuring all pesticides used follow State regulations.
- Review and assess compliance on an annual basis.
- Keep current pesticide labels, and Safety Data Sheets (MDS).
- Maintain accurate pesticide application records for all pesticide applications, in accordance with State and Federal policy.
- Maintain pesticide applicators license.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Degree, Certificate, or technical training in Agriculture or related field OR.
- Future Farmers of America program completion OR.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a licensed pesticide application.
- Ability to deliver results timely and in a pressure filled environment.
- Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.
- Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
- 2 years of pest management experience preferred.
- Applicator's license preferred.
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or related field is a plus.
