    Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Schedule Engineer based in Fort Lauderdale to join our dynamic team. This unique, entrepreneurial role requires a candidate with substantial experience using Primavera P6 and a proven track record in managing commercial construction projects, including multifamily projects valued at $100M and above.     ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Evaluate actual construction progress and provide regular schedule updates.
    • Maintain project schedule and identify and record the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled.
    • Incorporate resource and cost-loading data into schedules.
    • Ensure that corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project-related activities comply.
    • Read specifications and contract documents.
    • Interface with operations, owners, and subcontractors to discuss the impact of work and resolution of problems.
    • Must be able to travel and be able to assess the schedule update with the project teams.
    • Other duties as assigned/required.


    QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES FOR POSITION:

    • Bachelors degree in applicable discipline and at least 2-3 years of scheduling experience on large-scale construction projects.
    • Strong Primavera P6 experience is required.
    • Experience in 6 or more of the following markets are recommended but not limited to:
    • Public Assembly, Entertainment, Criminal Justice, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare/Laboratory, Hospitality, Office, Residential, Retail/Mixed Use, Transportation & Rail, Government, Industrial/Manufacturing, Historical, Solar, Aviation, and Marine.
    • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and practical interpersonal skills.
