    Our client, a reputable general contractor, is actively looking for a Commercial COnstruction Estimator to join their team

    Client Details

    Reputable General Contractor, is looking for a Commercial Construction Estimator to join their established team Offering full service construction & general contracting services, projects ranging from small scale TI to large renovations & ground-up - to Lifescience, Commercial, Academic, and Medical clients.

    They have a strong pipeline of work stretched over the next 3+ years and need a strong estimator to jump on board

    Report directly to the Director of Estimating

    Focus on Commercial/Healthcare/Academic projects on the North Shore.

    Description

    The Construction Estimator is responsible for:

    • Completing assigned estimates on time, in a professional and competitive manner
    • Producing estimates that are accurate, consider risk factors, and construction methods
    • Interpreting specifications & drawings
    • Investigating site conditions, risks & strategies to mitigate pre-bid
    • Attends pre-bid meetings, etc.
    • Developing self-performed scopes and reviewing with necessary parties
    • Reviewing design options and recommending best solution
    • Upholding company image with stakeholders and all project team members, clients, vendors, subs, etc.
    • Reporting directly to the Director of Estimating

    Profile

    The right Construction Estimator will have:

    • 5+ years of experience working as an Estimator for a Commercial GC
    • Experience in Commercial, Academic, Lifescience and/or Healthcare projects
    • Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
    • Familiar estimating projects of varying size $100K to $75M+
    • Knowledge of corporate construction procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems, and QA/QC
    • Advanced math and computer skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Computer-savyness
