Job summary
To perform journey-level installation,maintenance and repair of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems;
perform related work.
- Analyzes repairs and performs preventive maintenance on all HVAC installations.
- Maintains air distribution balance systems adds chemicals analyzes water treatment for chill water and heating systems plans installs auxiliary control systems prepares system for winter carry over cold weather conditions calibrates pipe vent sizes may design install sheet metal installs/inspects thermostats electrical wiring of furnaces unit heaters cooling units reviews new designs concepts tests maintains emergency electrical equipment such as generators battery operated lighting inspects maintains specialized items repairs switches light fixtures fixes leaks assists other maintenance crafts staff performing their duties responds to emergency call backs performs basic carpentry plumbing electrical sheet metal work welding repairing material brazing pipe cutting brazing soldering high pressure refrigerant piping defines implements preventive maintenance programs motors steam condensate return traps pumps controls compressors auxiliary heating cooling devices compiles reports changes including reporting costs estimating values justifying changes reviews work construction maintains chillers boilers fire alarm surveillance control systems high low pressure.
