    Position Description

    Performs assigned duties while serving in a university department for a specified length of time to gain practical experience during graduate or undergraduate level studies.

    Responsible for developing a practical knowledge and understanding of departmental functions in addition to developing and refining methods necessary to carry assigned work to completion.

    Work is performs under general supervision of management level personnel and is evaluated on the basis of the completion of assigned tasks.

    Major/Essential Functions

    Work with faculty facilitator in the Department of Pediatrics to establish and conduct a summer research project that is approved by the faculty, Dean, and student that fits the requirements of the Medical Student Summer Research Program (MSSRP) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences University School of Medicine (TTUHSC SOM).
