- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) collaborates with a Registered Nurse (RN) and other team members to deliver direct patient care.
- As a part of the Patient Care Team, the LPN is proficient in various patient services, including medication administration.
- Under the guidance of the RN, the LPN carries out age-specific tasks to support patient care.
- All clinical responsibilities are supervised by the RN, who determines the tasks suitable for delegation.
- The LPN also oversees the assignment of nursing duties to non-licensed staff under RN supervision.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current LPN license in the State of Ohio (Licensed Practical Nurse)
- Participation in hospital continuing education, self-assessment, and commitment to professional development through workshops and seminars.
- Completion of orientation program
- Proficiency in computer skills
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Potential periods of high stress and varied workloads
- Typical office environment with moderate noise levels
- Possible exposure to hazardous substances, body fluids, and infectious organisms
- Intermittent interruptions and solitary work periods may occur
