    Job Title: Mortgage Operational Risk Analyst
    Job Location: Vienna, VA | Winchester, VA | Pensacola, FL – Hybrid to work onsite 2 days per week in one of these locations (All remote work must be performed within the United States.)
    Job Type: Contract (long-term contract with the possibility to convert to a permanent employee). Contractors must be able to work as a W2 employee of Newbold.
    Compensation: $40-45/hour will be based on the candidate's skills and experience
    No other forms of compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, are offered for this position

    General Job Description:Our client is looking for a Mortgage Risk Analyst, to be an integral member of their first line of defense team, tasked with reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on mortgage risk, quality, service, and controls
    Your role will contribute significantly to improving operational efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.

    Job Requirements:

    • Evaluate the financial risks and rewards associated with mortgage or loan applications, ensuring thorough analysis to support decision-making processes.
    • Conduct audits to identify potential risks within mortgage portfolios, processes, and procedures, utilizing analytical tools and methodologies.
    • Determine strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
    • Make recommendations regarding servicing transfers based on risk assessments and operational considerations, facilitating seamless transitions as needed.
    • Assess the financial institutions loan inventory, identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern to inform risk management strategies.
    • Demonstrate Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate data and generate reports to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
