Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases.

Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new AWS RDS databases, backup/recovery and configuration management.

Maintain database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Develop solutions using cutting -edge AWS database technologies
Learns all aspects of AWS Databases and storage patterns to include, Relational Database Service (RDS), Dynamo, Amazon Aurora, MySql, etc
Conduct research on differing approaches to data storage in AWS
Knowledge of AWS Database Migration Service
Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management
Monitors transaction activity and utilization along with system performance metrics to identify potential risks/ issues
Develops and enforces database administration and user standards and procedures; audits, modifies , and amends data in systems using
Writing, designing, testing, implementing and maintaining database applications using SQL or other database programming languages

As part of an agile team, will be working closely with other agile team members and customers to implement a software system with multiple integration and backend services.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
~ Current hands-on working knowledge of AWS Databases such as RDS, Aurora, MySQL
~ AWS Certified SysOps or Database Administrator Associate or Professional desired
~ Experience working in an Agile environment, familiar with JIRA or other story tracking tool
