    First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Vice President & HR Manager to join our Workforce Services Division team. This role is responsible for the on-site management of the Kamehameha Industrial Center ("KIC") Human Resources Office.

    The Vice President & HR Manager serves as the location's primary HR contact and provides HR support of employee programs and services.

    Under the direction of the Vice President & Employee Relations Manager, the Vice President & HR Manager will support the KIC business units with response to employee relations matters as well as business units' efforts to align business objectives with the bank's strategic plan initiatives.

    This role will also manage and coordinate efforts to enhance the culture, work environment and staff morale at KIC.

    The successful candidate will be hired for the level of position that aligns with their experience.


    Work Hours:
    Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)


    Compensation:
    The annual salary range for this role is $83,242 - $144,290/yr/; commensurate with experience.

    The ideal candidate will have:
    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent work experience required

    Five years of management and leadership experience, or equivalent required

    Five to seven years of previous experience in human resources, preferably in employee relations or recruitment/sourcing in a corporate environment

    Change agent, comfortable with ambiguity and able to work in a fast-paced business environment

    Demonstrated ability to motivate others and to build and maintain a customer oriented and responsive team

    Knowledge of current recruiting trends and best practices

    Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment

    Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills

    Strong client focus with the ability to interface with and support hiring managers at all levels

    Viewed as a trusted advisor with a successful track record in building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organization

    Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven, rapid-fire environment

    Ability to self-motivate, work independently or as part of a team

    Strong written, verbal and communication skills; active listener and a polished public speaker

    Advanced critical thinker and decision maker with ability to motivate individuals in all environments as appropriate

    Detail-oriented, analytical, inquisitive, problem-solving in nature

    Proven ability to "roll up your sleeves" and effectively contribute

    A team player capable of working effectively with individuals throughout the organization

    Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems and experienced with Microsoft Suite and HCM
