    Municipal Traffic Design Engineer

    Our Municipal Services team is seeking a strong Engineer.

    Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as traffic studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, safety audits, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, Signage and striping plans and traffic and signal operations analysis.

    Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.

    Assisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.

    Capital improvement planning including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions.

    Review of municipal subdivision and land development applications, traffic impact and circulation studies, zoning ordinances.

    Assisting in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

    Capital improvement planning including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions.

    Attendance at municipal meetings and close interaction with municipal staff, elected officials and local citizens.

    Reviewing construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required)

    8-15 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering

    Professional Engineer (PE) registration required

    Experience preparing Traffic Impact Studies, Traffic Signal Plans and Electrical Plans in New Jersey required

    Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to manage multiple deadlines

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

    Valid Driver's License
