- Provide Leadership for the Transportation team. Assign job responsibility, develop team goals, provide direction and assist in developing transportation strategies.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching/training and annual reviews
- Maintain KPI information from our Logistics system. Work and maintain with all 3rd party providers and carriers to ensure service and cost goals are achieved. Continually review flow system processing and requirements in the Logistics system are achieved to ensure that client goals are met.
- Participate in weekly transportation project meetings and participate in achieving service and cost improvements
- Take the lead in ensuring that all operational cost are provided to Finance / Sales for customer quotes, and including rollouts and timelines
- Work with applicable 3rd parties to ensure that service metrics for our transportation suppliers are achieved and maintained
- Assist in providing financial analysis of transportation subsidies both weekly and monthly followed by developing action plans to streamline and reduce cost.
- Identify and recommend value added services we can provide for our customers
- Degree from a college/university and/or 5-7 years of related experience and or training.
- Must have excellent analytical skills and advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- A strong understanding and experience within a transportation and/or logistics environment.
- Manager/Supervisor experience required.

We are seeking a Transportation Manager for our Bowling Green, KY location. The Transportation Manager is responsible to lead the Transportation Team and develop and implement a transportation strategy. They will be responsible for conducting freight cost analysis addressing savings, client days to pickup, the private fleet vs. sublet carrier and carrier relationships.
