    Organics Distribution LLC, a sister company of St. Louis Composting, Inc. is hiring multiple CDL Class A drivers to be based at our downtown St. Louis location at 560 Terminal Row, St. Louis, MO 63147.



    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Transport all materials to all local site locations, retail locations, and customer addresses in a safe manner
    • Travel to and between all terminal locations in and around the region to which you are assigned.
    • Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site, and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
    • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and immediately report any concerns or problems
    • Follow dispatch invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions, following them in detail.
    • Takes direction from dispatching regarding any updates, additions, cancellations and other changes to the operation
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and dispatcher
    • Operate tractor-trailer/vehicle, tandem, roll-off, and dump truck according to state and federal laws and observing all safety regulations established by the company and DOT

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to read and understand English
    • Possess CDL-A (all states except California accepted) in good standing and current DOT medical card
    • Clean MVR with no DUIs, no major violations, and no more than a combo of 3 at-fault accidents or violations in the past 3 years
    • Must be able to drive a manual, aka "stick shift" on a CDL-A vehicle or higher
    • Must be able to pass an extensive DOT drug screening, which includes urine, hair and breath alcohol testing
    • Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays
    • Must be in good physical condition; able to lift over 50 pounds, stand and sit for long periods of time, etc.
    • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
    • Must be able to follow instructions, take direction well and be able to adapt to changes in the operation
    • Must be able to work well in a high volume, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
    • Must have a strong work ethic and be able to remain busy the entire day, looking for new tasks or where else to help when your tasks are completed
    • Must be a strong team player willing to help out wherever necessary and have a "can do" attitude

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least 3 years of CDL Class A driving experience
    • Experience hauling heavy equipment
    • Experience operating commercial vehicles with live walking floor trailers and/or floors that move
    • Roll-off container experience
    • Any of the following endorsements: Tanker, Doubles, Triples
