DescriptionElectrician Level 1
MSF Electric, Inc., a leader in multifamily and single family electrical construction since 2006, is looking for a motivated Level 1 Electrician to join our team.
This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of electrical systems who are eager to grow their skills in both commercial and industrial environments.
The Level 1 Electrician will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality in every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support system layout and installation.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using basic diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and circuit testers.
- Work with low voltage systems and ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with senior electricians and construction teams to integrate electrical systems into new builds and renovations.
- Perform routine inspections and identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for a variety of electrical installation tasks, including minor structural modifications.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Some residential or industrial electrical experience is preferred.
Licensing & Certification:
Active or in-progress electrician's license and relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEC compliance).
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
Tools:
Must own basic hand tools; specialized equipment will be provided by the company.
Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Problem-Solving:
Basic diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in varied environments, climb ladders, and lift moderate to heavy equipment.
