    Lead Advisor, LLC is a wealth management consulting and search firm. This role is for one of our client firms.

    Our client, a top wealth management practice based in Nashville is hiring a Director of Investments (DOI). The DOI will head the investment strategy and portfolio management for the practice.

    The DOI would work closely with the Wealth Management Advisors to bring forward a first class experience for clients. The DOI should have a passion in both research, constructing client portfolios and also have the ability to interface with clients. This is not a business development or client acquisition role. The right candidate should be comfortable in both passive and active management strategies depending on the clients needs.

    Key Responsibilities, yet not limited to:

    • This position will be responsible for the investment strategy and recommendations within the practice.
    • Working with the WMAs to research and refine the investment strategy.
    • Creating investment takeover proposals and conducting portfolio analysis.
    • Conducting research and providing written commentary to clients.
    • Creating executive summaries and talking points on client accounts.
    • The candidate should have confidence with working with individual stocks, especially in large cap.
    • The DOI will sit in certain client meetings, as the investment expert to share market updates, portfolio updates and educate clients on investment recommendations.
    • The DOI will be responsible for trading accounts, rebalancing, tactical tilts and tax loss harvesting execution.
    • Ensure the Wealth Management Advisors are briefed on planning and investment updates prior to meetings along with the ability to educate clients on their positions directly.

    Other tasks may include:

    • Benchmarking performance
    • Meeting with wholesalers and other industry professionals to stay ahead of the curve on the client experience and offerings.
    • Ensuring all client interactions are up to date in CRM system
    • Researching current regulations, tax law changes and other pertinent industry information to stay ahead of changes that can affect clients

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree
    • 3+ years of investment experience
    • Series 7 and 66 (or will obtain within first year)
    • Preferred if candidate has or is pursuing CFA designation.
