Head of Originations Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and cultivate relationships with venture capital-backed companies and their investors to source new venture debt opportunities.
• Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends and identify potential growth areas for venture debt investments.
• Evaluate the financial health and growth potential of target companies through detailed financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes.
• Structure, negotiate, and close venture debt transactions, ensuring alignment with the firm's risk appetite and return objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, legal, and portfolio management, to efficiently execute deals and monitor existing investments.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to enhance its visibility and attract potential clients.
• Prepare and present investment memos and recommendations to the investment committee.

Head of Originations Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
