    A day in the life of a construction project coordinator at Graham: This is a position that plays an important role in our construction projects. They assist through all the life-cycles of a project by supporting the project teams and our clients with a variety of tasks.

    John Graham, a well-known developer, in the Midwest founded Graham Construction in 1981.     JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator

    REPORTS TO: Project Manager I, II, or Senior Project Manager

    PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is to assist the Project Team in the management of resources involved/related to projects and ensure quality work is performed in a timely and cost effective manner.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Sets up and coordinates administrative documents and duties for construction projects from beginning of project to project conclusion
    • Assists with contracts, insurance certificates, and bid solicitation
    • Reviews submittals, change orders, purchase orders
    • Utilize Procore software to organize project documents and notes
    • Represent Graham Construction in external meetings with owners and trade partners
    • Follow Graham Core Process
    • All other duties as assigned
    • Ability to learn to understand and read architectural drawings from schematic to construction documents.
    • Practices "Closeout Excellence". Reviews, tracks, and compiles O&M manuals, extra material and warranty information.
    • All other duties as assigned

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

    • Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
    • Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines.
    • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to work daily and extended hours (as necessary to meet deadlines)
    • Ability to travel once a quarter (4 times/annually) to Safety Meetings (overnights not required)
    • Ability to pass physical capacity profile
    • Ability to take and pass OSHA 30 certification
    • Valid driver's license
    • This is an onsite role. Must have ability to report to Des Moines, IA office Monday – Friday
