Description
PURPOSE:
Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties and providing support to the Transportation Department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job Responsibilities
Reviews and processes driver payroll and status changes.
Monitors new and existing accounts in Roadnet, Peoplenet, and Cooltrax database.
Reviews dashboard link, monitors drivers
routes, and informs supervisor/manager and Customer Care of the need for possible route changes. Provides transportation assistance for all driver call-ins regarding route delivery issues and customer call backs.
Receives driver receipts and accompanying paperwork, investigates and corrects discrepancies, processes invoices, and handles deposits of customer checks. Organizes driver paperwork to send to Claims and archives paperwork.
Coordinates new drivers phone set up, corporate lodging cards, fuel cards, uniforms orders, etc.
Processes all driver paperwork (manifests, DVIR s, fuel receipts, hotel bills, COD checks, etc.).
Contacts customers for reviews, late deliveries, etc.
Performs other relevant job duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
Warehouse/Operations/Transportation experience preferred but not requiredKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Understanding of Safety guidelines Strong knowledge of applicable computer system functions DOT compliance knowledge preferred Understands procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent communication/decision-making skills Ability to interact with all departments and all levels of management Equipment knowledge is a plus
