    Description
    Objective of the Position:
    Operate or tend hoists or winches to lift and pull loads using power-operated cable equipment. Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck or forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

    Essential Accountabilities:
    • Communicate material request in a timely manner
    • Coordinate repacking of empty totes
    • Remove all empty totes, boxes, and recyclables from each cell and properly locate
    • Responsible to follow procedures for the cleaning and maintenance of the tugger/cart and the HI Lo if used.
    • Supply parts and components to all operating cells in a timely manner
    • Work with Changeover person to coordinate a timely material change
    • Complete daily operator checklist and follows all safety rules.
    • Replace liquefied gas tank when required.
    • Determine routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
    • Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors.
    • Knowledgeable of all Materials responsibilities. Participates in daily activities as required.
    • Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
    • Package service parts and special orders for shipment.
    • Position forks under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport load to designated area.
    • Responsible for maintaining 5S in department and periodically participating with audit process.
    • Unload containers from trailers and inspects for damages. If damages exist, notify Quality Department of potential parts damage.
    • Use hand-held scanners to inventory materials in warehouse and production floor, and supply weld cells with materials as needed.
    • Weigh materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
    Secondary Accountabilities:
    • Conduct all business-related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
    • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
    • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Minimum one months related experience in Material Handler setting.

    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
