    The Department Manager is responsible for creating course schedules, maintaining course materials, assisting with budgets and contracts, and providing administrative support to the academic department. The Department Manager is also responsible for coordinating projects with other departments and for communicating with internal and external constituents (e.g., students, faculty, partners, and internal departments). This position reports directly to the Department Chair and supports the academic department in hiring student workers and adjunct instructors, maintaining department records, and implementing department procedures. This position is for the Los Angeles and Anaheim campuses.

    **Position Summary:**

    This position currently reports to the Department Chair in the Clinical Forensic Psychology Department. The principal duties include but are not limited to: assisting the Department Chair with maintaining the functioning of the department; updating and maintaining files; preparing agendas; taking and/or transcribing meeting notes; completing of cross-campus enrollment forms and documents; assisting with course scheduling; routing forms; and creating and maintaining department and student related data.

    **Principal Duties:**

    Develop and track course scheduling, instructor assignments, student records, and supply ordering.

    Assist instructors with gathering course/workshop materials including books, articles, tests and assessments.

    Manage registration materials, procedures, policies and communications in coordination with the Office of the Registrar.

    Assist the Department Chair with developing the department budget.

    Partner with Office of Communication and Public Relations to ensure website and other communications are accurate and current.

    Collaborate with Student Services and the Registrar's Office to ensure students are best supported with institutional policies and procedures.

    Process instructor compensation on a term by term basis.

    Support department faculty with completing faculty workloads and track faculty workload completion.

    Work with Student Finance, Student Services, and other departments as needed to ensure the services and resources provided to students are appropriately delivered and managed.

    Work with Human Resources in the hiring, on-boarding & contract processes of new and returning faculty.

    Work with International Liaison Office to ensure student and faculty travel, budget, training, and documentation are completed.

    Support and advance the mission, vision and values of The Chicago School.

    **Travel Requirements:**

    Some travel required (e.g., attending scheduled commencement).

    **Position Qualifications:**

    1-2 years of administrative or higher education experience.

    Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree or graduate coursework is preferred).

    Excellent communication, team-building, and human relations skills.

    Thrives in a team-oriented environment that emphasizes collaboration and personal accountability.

    Proactive and detail oriented.

    Evidence of compatibility with the TCSPP mission.
