    Expected hourly rate of pay:
    $26.90 to $41.80

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for applying their in-depth knowledge of clinical trial budgeting to support and guide analysts with less experience.

    This role also serves as a client facing representative of our operations team to help onboard new clients, answer complex questions, and ensure our deliverables align with internal and client expectations.

    The senior analyst may also represent the organization as a subject matter expert at webinars and industry conferences.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.


    Independently contribute to the completion of budget builds and/or budget negotiations by acting as a second level resource for more junior staff.

    Specific duties may vary depending on team assignment and business needs:

    Review budget drafts completed by analyst to ensure quality standards are met and provide feedback when necessary.
    Support newer analysts with their budget negotiations.
    Help newer analysts solve complex budget problems
    Independently build budgets for our complex studies that require in-depth knowledge and practical experiences
    Act as an operational lead/subject matter expert for our clients:
    Answer ad-hoc questions related to applicable services
    Contribute to client onboarding discussions
    Lead operational client update calls
    Support training and development of newer analysts which may include:
    Participation in formal training sessions
    Providing regular feedback through daily interactions
    Acting as a mentor/resource for new analysts
    Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
    Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.


    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree in related field. Significant work experience in the specific field may be considered in lieu of a relevant degree.

    Qualifications/Experience

    Ability to work in a performance-driven environment: a proactive, results-driven and goal-oriented approach.
    Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information in a consultative manner.
    Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
    Ability to understand clinical terms and descriptors and strong investigative skills with ability to think "outside the box".
    Familiarity with the clinical trial start-up process.
    Experience reading and interpreting clinical trial protocols.
    Ability to independently develop complex clinical trial budgets for a range of clinical indications including oncology and cardiology.
    Strong communication skills (oral and written) with proven ability to translate complex concepts for newer employees and client representatives.
    Demonstrated proficiency and experience applying relevant budget concepts to a broad range of situations.
