    Hours: First 2-3 weeks, Monday-Friday in person, then remote with 4-10's or 5-8's

    Pay: $30.00 per hour During the contract phase ($65,000 annually upon conversion)

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Our client is seeking a Tier II Technician for an exciting contract to hire scenario. As a Tier II Technician, you will be responsible for performing the successful execution of IT project task from initiation to completion. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, Senior Infrastructure Engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are designed to meet customer requirements, delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. Your technical expertise, strong project management skills, and exceptional communication abilities will be instrumental in driving project success and client satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Delivery: Execute project work plans in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.

    Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather project requirements, define objectives, and identify project scope and deliverables.

    Technical Expertise: Provide guidance and technical leadership across various IT domains, including servers, networking, VoIP, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, security, backups, and enterprise applications.

    Solution Design: Develop innovative and effective technical solutions that address client requirements, align with best practices, and leverage existing infrastructure and resources.

    Installation and Configuration: Execute hands-on installation and configuration of the projects you design, ensuring smooth implementation and functionality.

    Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, Senior engineers, support technicians, and other stakeholders to perform project activities.

    Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that may impact schedule, scope, or costs.

    Documentation: Ensure sustainable, supportable solutions by creating comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, status reports, change management logs, and user guides.

    Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met, providing regular updates, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

    Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project delivery processes and enhance service offerings.

    You'll be successful in this role if you have experience with:

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022
    • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
    • Microsoft Autopilot, InTune, and Conditional Access
    • Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint
    • Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online
    • Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Defender
    • Networking (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet/Fortigate, Aruba, Ubiquiti)

    Familiarity with the following services and software will benefit you in this role:

    • ConnectWise: Manage, Sell, Automate, and Control
    • ITGlue
    • Datto BCDR, Datto SaaS Protection, and Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
    • Cisco Duo, Huntress EDR, DNSFilter, Perch SIEM, Lastpass Enterprise

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure project engineering and implementation within a managed service or technology consulting environment is required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field is preferred.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project issues promptly and effectively.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
