    Description

    Desktop Support Technician

    Pay Rate: $25.00

    Duration: 3 month contract to permanent

    Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM

    Territory: Norwich, NY 13815

    Job Summary:

    As a Desktop Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our customers and proactively identifying their needs.

    Youll work to create the ideal experience that any customer would seek to encounter.

    • Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of the site.
    • Communications, Hardware Break-Fix, Installing.
    • Complete the physical breakdown, move, and new setup of computers and related peripherals in coordination with facilities and other DT teams.
    • Ensure all related technology is kept safe and secure during the move process.
    • Ensure all related technology is setup in the new locations in working order.
    • Follow defined processes for handling of defective equipment, including replacement, recycling, and disposal of technology.
    • Coordinate dependent activities with resources from other DT teams (networking, linux/windows pc technicians, conference center services, etc...), as needed.
    • Complete other related tasks, as directed by the customer program manager.

    What You'll Do:

    • Deliver exceptional customer service as the face of the Company.
    • Responsible for interacting and servicing our clients with any technical problem they are experiencing.
    • Be helpful, relatable, and pleasant while diagnosing and fixing their problems.
    • Solve a broad range of day-to-day onsite technical issues on network infrastructure and internal desktop systems.
    • Determine the most cost-effective repair to minimize customer downtime.
    • Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and service issues.

    Who You Are:

    • Experienced 2-5 years of related work experience, or AA degree, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A+ Certification, or able to obtain within first 6 weeks of employment.
    • Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products.
    • Enthusiastic about technology and willing to learn and stay on the cutting edge.
    • Personable
    • Relatable and responsible when interacting with ALL customers.
    • Consultative approach to solving issues.
    • Reliable
    • Able to transform technical IT solutions lingo into terms everyone understands.
    • Impeccable follow-through to customer satisfaction.

    TOP 2 required skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills

    Overall years of experience:

    • 2-3 Years of relevant experience in IT technical support for desktops, and networks is a plus

    Specific certifications or education:

    • A high school diploma requires, post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred
