Job summary
We are hiring for a Senior Internal Auditor to support risk-based audits across Consumer Compliance and BSA/AML programs for one of our banking clients within a regulated financial services environment in Abilene TX This is an internal audit role focused on assessing control design execution and regulatory readiness not first-line AML investigations or casework You will partner closely with internal audit leadership compliance stakeholders and external audit resources to strengthen audit quality and regulatory oversight across the organization
This role involves executing risk-based internal audits covering BSA / AML OFAC & sanctions Financial crimes compliance programs Assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls Testing areas including SAR governance CDD/EDD transaction monitoring and sanctions screening Documenting audit workpapers and drafting clear defensible audit findings Identifying control gaps root causes and practical remediation recommendations Partnering with compliance stakeholders audit leadership and external audit resources Tracking validating management remediation activities
