    Mission of the role:

    As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function including employment, benefits, leadership effectiveness, employee relations, employee communications and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

    Your day-to-day:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
    • Proactively partner with management and employees by addressing questions, sensitive matters, or other issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Serve as the day-to-day point of HR contact for the team members on routine inquiries, including policy interpretation and general inquiries.
    • Oversee the performance management program to ensure it aligns and supports the department and overall company goals/objectives that drives high performance.
    • Proactively assess team and employee development needs and provide recommendations and solutions to implement and monitor appropriate training programs.
    • Manage the entire recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. This includes but it is not limited to the following: candidates updates, offer stage, pre-employment background checks and New Hire onboarding.
    • Engage and nurture a positive working environment by promoting and modeling the appropriate behaviors which support the corporate culture and values.
    • Recommend and participate in the development of policies and procedures and that are in compliance with current local/state laws.
    • Prioritize and coordinate the maintenance of department records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary. May make recommendations to resolve complex employee relations matters.
    • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Manage the administration of benefits, compensation, and employee relations programs.
    • Document personnel/payroll actions accurately and submit information to payroll and/or other entities as needed and required in an effective and timely manner.
    • Manages new hire onboarding. Audits new hire paperwork for accurate completion and communicate accordingly with the functional areas to prepare for the new hire's start date.
    • Build and update organizational charts on a regular and consistent basis.
    • Research and analyze data for special projects and policy development, i.e.: compensation surveys, labor market data.
    • Respond to routine inquiries from vendors, other external entities, and internal customers in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Coordinate employee events, social outings, and activities.
    • Facilitate and oversee the annual review process for employees through ADP.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally cross-functionally.

    What it takes to do this job:

    • Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
    • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or progressive HR Generalist roles.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and effectively using best judgment.
    • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, best practices, and government reporting regulations that affect the HR function.
    • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
    • Knowledge of HRIS systems and ATS databases.
    • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
    • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills at all levels of an organization
    • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills – individual, and in a team setting.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to travel when needed.
