- Install, service, and repair electrical components of transportation systems, ensuring operational excellence.
- Execute installations, including electrical and data conductors, conduits, pull boxes, poles, foundations, grounding, and surge protection systems.
- Provide leadership and training to apprentice electricians, guiding them in complex installations and maintenance tasks.
- Supervise teams as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Promptly respond to maintenance requests and restore equipment to operational status quickly.
- Conduct thorough documentation of all work activities, including reports, logs, and shift communications.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve advanced technical issues and conduct field tests.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical installations and maintenance.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician Certification/Card.
- IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician certification is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and implementing documents such as safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of writing clear reports and effectively presenting information to groups.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with eligibility to obtain a CDL Class A or B.
- Willingness to travel as needed and available for shifts during weekends or overtime.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, maneuver hands, reach, stoop, crouch, lift/move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various conditions including adverse weather, high-traffic areas, and confined spaces.
- Exposure to hazards such as mechanical parts, electrical shocks, and airborne particles, with a focus on maintaining stringent safety protocols.
