- Manage and continuously review the Purchase Order System to insure it is accurate and up to date.
- Purchase materials in line with company needs
- Timely and effective communication of forecasts and purchase orders to vendors
- Check and authorize invoices when required
- Assist with Semi Annual inventories
- Expedite Purchase Orders when necessary
- Communicate with Customer Care and shipping regarding delivery dates of possible back orders
- Keep Back Orders to an absolute minimum
- Continuously review vendors and pricing to remain competitive
- Seek and evaluate possible new vendors
- Cycle counting as needed to assure accurate inventory
- Manage vendor relationships
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents etc.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 – 3 years of related experience; or an associate degree and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience or a combination of both.
- High level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to complete purchase orders, schedules and assigned reports.
