Job Description:

Optimize and generate clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail layout drawings based on architectural and engineering plans for the fabrication of roof/floor trusses and components.

Knowledge of MiTek software required.


Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of designing trusses with Mitek industry software.
Broad knowledge of engineering fundamentals, wood truss roof and floor design and building materials. Design optimized projects with or Mitek design software
Specify Beams, connecting hardware and other related products
Request sealed engineering drawings and/or repair details and follow up.
Strong visualization skills and ability to picture complex conditions in wood structures from plans and specifications.
Effectively communicate with architects, engineers, customers and fellow team members.

Design roof and floor trusses in engineering software

Other design support related tasks

Database Software

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
