    About the Position
    We are seeking a Scientist to join our growing Environmental team. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience serving as an environmental consultant and/ or environmental regulatory agent, preferably with experience in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, or federal projects.

    Knowledge and Experience:
    • Jurisdictional wetland/ water delineations
    • Protected species habitat assessments and surveys
    • Federal/ state/ local permitting & mitigation support
    • Manage schedules and environmental special studies
    • Coordination with interdisciplinary teams of designers and environmental SMEs for various infrastructure projects

    Qualifications:
    • BS in relevant environmental discipline
    • Demonstrated experience leading ecology field tasks (e.g., water/wetland delineations, protected species surveys, erosion compliance inspections, etc.) and preparing associated technical documentation.
    • Must have a working knowledge of wetland science, flora/fauna and ecosystems of the Southeastern US, and relevant regulatory requirements
    • Proficient with GIS and mapping
    • Physically able to travel and conduct field work on various project sites with challenging field conditions such as steep terrain, thick vegetation, and inclement weather
    • Excellent technical writing and communication skills with ability to deliver complete and clean documents
    • Willingsness to travel as projects require to include occasional overnight travel
    • Relevant certifications such as Professional Wetland Scientist, Professional Wildlife Biologist, or Certified Ecologist would be viewed favorably
    • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.
