    River Crest Hospital :

    River Crest Hospital is a modern, 80-bed psychiatric hospital, specializing in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders that can afflict individuals of all ages, from children and teens, to adults and the elderly.

    We provide acute inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and addiction treatment programs. We are located in San Angelo, Texas.


    Position Summary:
    The Intake Call Specialist would be Responsible for screening the calls coming into the Admissions Department. They provide patients and other referral sources information and instruction on the assessment and admission process. They are responsible for the clerical functions related to the duties of the Admissions Department.

    This position is also responsible for providing support to the other team members in a collaborative effort and is responsible for special projects and other assignments as directed.

    Qualifications


    Education:
    Graduated with a GED or greater. One-year experience in psychiatric facility and bilingual preferred.


    Licensure/Certification:
    CPR certification and Crisis De-Escalation certification preferred. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.


    Experience:
    Knowledge of Intake practices and procedures; knowledge of department and personnel policies.

    Skill in oral and written communication; skill in the operation of computer systems (specifically Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, MS400, & Microsoft Outlook), copier & fax machine; Ability to plan, organize and conduct referral processes in a timely manner.

    This job requires understanding of and compliance with River Crest Hospital's safety and loss control policies. Knowledge and experience with insurance verification and pre-certification process a plus
