- High School diploma or equivalent; required.
- Minimum age of 18; required.
- Two or more years of work experience related to the care and development of children; preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; required.
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new employees.
- Assist with the implementation and facilitation of Youth and Adult Arts and Humanities Programs, Special Events, Senior Projects, parents night out, and school vacation care.
- Assist with Planning, Prep, Training, and Teaching of our Arts & Humanities Programming.
- Coordinate and schedule all birthday party inquiries and reservations.
- Ensure the Health and Safety of all children in the Youth and Family Program at all times; implement Emergency Procedures as necessary.
- Coordinate facility usage, and transport/set up equipment for Arts and Humanities Programs and Special Events.
- Maintain program areas in regards to equipment, safety, inventory, and cleanliness.
- Serve as liaison between instructors, program participants, volunteers, and parents.
- Follow YMCA Policies and Procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job DescriptionThe Youth & Family Coordinator at the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA assists in the management and execution of our youth, adult and family programming as well as special events. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
