    SUMMARY
    The Machine Operator position is responsible for major equipment operations consisting of lathe, brake, and
    shear mills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Perform the operation of equipment such as press brakes and computer numerical control (CNC) machines
    with minimum blueprint reading and job set-up ability. Will be responsible for simple, generic machine set-ups.


    • Perform first article inspections and production lot inspections.
    • Read tape measure, calipers, and drawings.
    • Ensure all safety guidelines are being followed as set forth by management.
    • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, organized manner.
    • Actively participate in all 6S processes within assigned department.
    • Assist other employees, as necessary.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience working with the set-up, programming, where applicable, and operation of press brakes, shears,
    lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, and drill presses required.


    • Must put safety as the number one priority in all job assignments.
    • Must be able to demonstrate the correct use of power tools, such as tape measure, calipers.
    • Must be able to tolerate repetitive, tedious work.
    • Must have the ability to comprehend the workflow in the department/plant environment.
    • Must be able to communicate closely with co-workers and supervisors regarding work related items.

    • Must be able to follow directions and/or detailed work instructions when performing required tasks.
    • Must have willingness to continue learning processes.
    • Must be able to physically perform essential job duties of this position.
    • Must be able to lift up to 44lbs.; 88lbs. team lift.
    • Must be able to continuously stand, walk, reach, bend, squat and move to perform job duties on a daily basis.
    • Must be able to utilize and wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing
    protection.


    • Must be able to work inside the plant with loud noise and fumes associated with manufacturing processes.
