- Monday – Friday (40 hours/week).
- 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Overtime required to meet business demands.
- Knowledgeable in basic hand tools and proper use.
- Knowledgeable of the proper inspection, removal, installation, and alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, and chains.
- Must be willing and able to work with heavy equipment when needed.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, and pumps.
- Perform assignments in a timely manner.
- Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively to team members as well as non-maintenance personnel.
- Learn and work in accordance with company procedures and policies, as well as safety and environmental rules and guidelines.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Minimum 1-3 years maintenance experience, preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude and math skills.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
- Strong analytical skills and theoretical background in mechanical systems.
- Industrial mill, crushing, or mining, experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent written, organization, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Some computer skills are required.
- Ability to weld preferred.

Metalico is a leading full-service, broadly diversified scrap metal recycler, principally operating in the Northeastern United States. Our scrap operations source, buy, process, and sell four distinct groups of commodity metals for use in the manufacture of new products: +We recycle scrap steel and iron, which is sold primarily to domestic mills and foundries. +We recycle non-ferrous metals, principally aluminum, copper, lead, and nickel-based steel and high temperature alloys. These products are sold to domestic manufacturers and, to a lesser extent, to the export markets. +We buy catalytic converters and recover platinum, palladium, and rhodium, known as Platinum Group Metals (PGM's). These precious metals are typically refined and reused by industry in emissions control devices. Metalico today employs 600 people in 27 operating locations across 6 states. Metalico is headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey.
