- Apply broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering.
- Make decisions independently concerning problems within the Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Represent the discipline on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and coordinate work.
- Support engineering design development for the Sentinel project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations following applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
- Supervise engineers and help execute assignments concerned with specialized unique engineering requirements in a global business unit.
- Provide technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating these assignments, including exploration of the subject area, definition of scope, and may involve the development of novel concepts, approaches, and solutions.
- Develop formal calculations and drawings.
- Develop subcontractor scopes of work for execution of construction work implementing design documents.
- Review vendor information from subcontractors.
- Execute to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
- Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
- Manage work process execution and ensure technical adequacy following company procedures, contracts, and industry codes and standards.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned actions to self and group and show initiative in problem-solving.

- Interface with the ultimate USAF client/customer for Northrop Grumman for technical issue studies, resolutions, and recommendations.

- Perform power system analysis modeling and calculations.
- Perform equipment and cable sizing calculations.
- Develop equipment and material specifications.
- Develop procurement documentation.

- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- 9 or more years of relevant experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the U.S. (Electrical Engineering).
- Experience with project controls, including scheduling, estimating engineering efforts, planning, and work packaging.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to utilize engineering and office automation tools effectively.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as customer corporate guides and standards.
- Broad knowledge of the application of Electrical Engineering design principles.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing, and cable sizing.
- Strong knowledge of power systems load modeling and analysis.
- Prior experience as a Bechtel manager/supervisor.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited course of study.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Prior construction oversight experience.
- Experience planning and executing work in an Earned Value Management System environment.
- Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000.
- Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
- Experience executing engineering design with Revit.
- Experience performing calculations with ETAP.
- Experience developing equipment configuration packages for procurement and maintenance.
- Understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering discipline drawings and system calculations, as related to electrical design requirements.
- Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI MasterFormat specifications, or SpecsIntact.
- Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering for an accredited course of study.

Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking Electrical Deputy Engineering Group Supervisors to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force's Sentinel (formally GBSD) program in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triadthe Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an onsite position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e. every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be provided.
