    We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our healthcare team as a Medical Assistant. This role requires a dynamic individual who can efficiently manage administrative tasks at the front desk while also providing support to medical staff in patient care. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience, while also assisting with clinical tasks as needed.

    **Responsibilities:**

    **1. Front Desk Operations:**
    - Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
    - Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling as necessary.
    - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical staff.
    - Check-in patients, verify demographic information, and update electronic health records accurately.
    - Collect and process patient insurance information, copayments, and other payments.

    **2. Patient Assistance:**
    - Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
    - Provide information about clinic services, policies, and procedures.
    - Maintain a comfortable and organized waiting area for patients.
    - Address patient concerns and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.

    **3. Medical Support:**
    - Assist medical staff with taking patient vitals, preparing examination rooms, and sterilizing equipment.
    - Document patient medical histories accurately in electronic health records.
    - Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and tests as directed by medical professionals.
    - Assist with minor medical procedures, wound care, and administering medications as required and under supervision.

    **4. Administrative Tasks:**
    - Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    - Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and specialists.
    - Handle medical record requests and facilitate the sharing of patient information as needed.
    - Perform general office tasks, including filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry.

    **5. Team Collaboration:**
    - Communicate effectively with medical staff, nurses, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
    - Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting colleagues when necessary.

    **Qualifications:**

    High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is a plus.
    - Previous experience in a medical receptionist or medical assistant role preferred.
    - Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and electronic health records systems.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
    - Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.
    - Compassionate demeanor and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
    - Proficiency in using office software and computer systems.
    - Basic knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes.
    - Certification in medical assisting is a plus but not required.
