As an
NPI Electrical Test Engineer
on the Ample Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll design, build, and test electrical ecosystems for battery verification and production.
What You'll Do:
Implement test systems into automated production lines through cross-functional collaboration
Compile documents, analyze test data, and perform calculations to determine root cause of problems and the corrective action to take
Consistently review and update progress status of specific projects including first pass yields, production issues, and process output
Troubleshoot and assist in maintenance of PCB/sub-assembly test fixtures used on assembly lines
Assist in optimizing testing software performance and functionality
Support production during prototype builds and design change implementation
Write test specifications and procedures for electrical and electromechanical assemblies
Participate in electrical upgrades of existing test stations and design and verification of new ones
Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources by validating new product designs and provide DFM input prior to implementation
Organize pre & post production support for test systems
What You'll Bring:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
2+ years experience within relevant industry
Solid grasp of fundamentals including signal processing, micro-controllers and communication protocols
Experience with analog/digital circuit design with EDA tools
Experience in designing and implementing software of embedded devices and systems
Experience with python and C programming for developing and executing automated tests
Familiarity with electronic test instruments, e.g. oscilloscope, etc.
Familiarity with software version control process and systems
Team player
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting production / assembly line with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Experience with production quality control processes - PPAP, NCR, and Jira Tickets
Experience in high-voltage electrical system development and/or automotive environment
