Description

Essential Job Duties:
Examines patient, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or in conjunction with the physician decides on follow up
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Administers and orders diagnostic tests and interprets test results
Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and managing infection
In combination with the physician will develop and implement patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress
Medication prescription to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinical regulations
Provides patient education
Assists physician in patient surgical procedures
Follow up on patients both inpatient and outpatient
