    Payroll Specialist

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Hunterdon County, NJ. This is a permanent position with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process weekly Union Dues/Fringe Benefit payments and reports
    • Maintain all Union documentation, including agreements, rate increases, and remittance reports
    • Handle unemployment and disability claims
    • Assist with implementing new payroll systems and mobile time applications
    • Enter employees into payroll software and E-Verify programs
    • Prepare and verify weekly payroll for Union and Corporate employees
    • Manage ACA monthly updates and annual reporting and compliance
    • Complete employment verifications, child support, and garnishment requests
    • Track PTO for all companies
    • Set up new union additions and ensure labor rates and benefits are updated accurately and timely
    • Process payroll for both Union and Corporate employees, including layoffs and missed time
    • Submit weekly and monthly certified payroll reports

    Requirements:

    • Experience with LCP Tracker and EMARS
    • At least 5 years' experience with in-house Union payroll processing
    • Prevailing wage and certified payroll expertise
    • Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations
    • Associate's degree or PPD Certification required
    • Construction background necessary
    • Experience handling large employee payrolls (300+)
    • Familiarity with Foundation Software/Sage 300 Software a plus
    • High level of confidentiality and computer proficiency
    • Excellent customer service and administrative skills
