Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CCC-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience for a weekday rehab assignment.

Responsibilities
Work in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility rehab settingMonday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shiftsStart times must be between 6AM and 10AM, flexible as long as communicated with DORNo weekends required unless making up missed weekday hours due to holidaysNo on-call responsibilitiesScreen, evaluate, and provide rehabilitation for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessmentsDevelop individualized care plans and regularly adjust treatment based on patient progressConsult and provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding speech and swallowing disordersDocument all patient care in the electronic documentation system according to regulatory standardsParticipate in required meetings, trainings, and facility or company in-servicesSupervision and support of CFY or student SLPs may be requiredAdhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and professional ethicsNo more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted for this contract

Requirements
Current and active Missouri SLP license required; compact license accepted where applicableCurrent Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) requiredAt least 1 year of SLP experience required; new grads accepted with Level II clinical experienceExperience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting requiredOne professional reference required for considerationLicense required if applicable
