Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy
Develop and assist execution of comprehensive maintenance strategies for plant facilities and fleet assets utilizing fundamental continuous improvement methodologies.
Provide strong facilitation to the maintenance teams, fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Support major capex projects amongst the businesses and assist in management of spend.
Develop or define process consistency throughout plant and fleet maintenance organization
Coordinate the preventive and corrective maintenance of concrete production facilities to ensure best practices are utilized across the RM regions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices to minimize downtime.Fleet Management
Manage the maintenance and repair activities for the company's fleet of concrete mixer trucks and transportation assets.
Implement effective fleet maintenance schedules to optimize vehicle performance and longevity.
Administer the light duty fleet management program, in coordination with the businesses.
Budgeting and Cost Control
Support the development of the maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements from the field and such best practices throughout the organization.
Direct control of relationships with RM Truck manufacturers and coordinated interaction of other mobile and fixed plant vendors.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
Negotiate contracts and ensure service levels meet company standards as needed by the businesses.
Training and Development
Provide training programs for maintenance staff to enhance skills and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Implement cross-training initiatives amongst the business maintenance and fabrication teams to build knowledge and best practice sharing.
Requirements
Proven experience in maintenance leadership roles within the manufacturing or construction industry
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong Knowledge of concrete production processes and equipment.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar suite of office software.
Proficiency with maintenance management software such as Fleetio or similar programs
