    The Patient Access Product Owner participates in the development, maintenance & optimization of Patient Access information systems for ensuring successful day-to-day registration, scheduling, authorization and ADT processes within PAS operations across all sites utilizing the CliniComp EHR Product Suite. The Patient Access Product Owner analyzes user needs, patient access requirements, and research appropriate workflows to further develop broader PAS functions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, external operational consultants and departments within CliniComp to ensure superior customer support, system optimization, and problem resolution. Leverages their knowledge of Patient Access and overall hospital/PAS operations in collaboration with teams to optimize product development. While Patient Access software is the primary responsibility, work on other revenue cycle areas will be added as needed.

    Essential Functions:

    • Specify and write features, stories, requirements for the development of software to support Patient Access and general revenue cycle workflows at hospitals and health care provider organizations using the CliniComp EHR product suite.
    • Integrate with operational consultants to ensure product designs meet end user needs.
    • Prioritize, plan, and manage product feature development from inception to completion.
    • Collaborate with development team from software specifications through testing and deployment for registration, scheduling, admit/transfer/discharge and authorization functions of health care organizations, including inpatient and outpatient environments as well as professional and hospital-based billing.
    • Demonstrated detailed expertise in the patient access arena, ideally with some broader understanding of revenue cycle operations and flows.
    • Acts in a leadership role on Scrum team, solves complex problems through analytical skills.
    • Develop, oversee and facilitate training programs to educate client staff on patient access features and capabilities.
    • Investigate and resolve matters of significance related to quality assurance, system change requests, usability issues, technical support, device integration, and coordinate with business partners as needed.
    • Understands the customer, has a vision for the needs, pain points and value delivered to the customer, and can balance needs of other stakeholders.
    • Responsible for the backlog of features and user stories from which the development team pulls from.
    • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team.

    Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • Experience with patient access operations in a hospital, or design and development of patient access software of 2-3 years.

    The base salary range for this full-time position is $131,000 - $174,000.

    CliniComp's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, location and relevant education or training.
